A dynamic part of the Burgess Rural story.
Located just 26km north of Holbrook, Lockerbie is a standout property within the Burgess Rural portfolio, adding valuable livestock diversity to a region known for its higher rainfall and fertile soils.
Once a pine plantation, Lockerbie has been transformed through extensive re-pasturing of over 1,250 hectares, laying the groundwork for a productive and sustainable future.
Set against rolling hills and striking ridgelines rising 200 metres above the creek flats, Lockerbie is as breathtaking as it is productive. The farm operates a strong dual-purpose sheep and Angus beef enterprise, harnessing the region’s climate to produce high-quality livestock.
Our Merino ewes are sourced directly from Burgess Rural’s Victorian wool flocks, ensuring genetic consistency and outstanding performance.
With a focus on improving pastures and enhancing soil health, we are committed to maximizing clean wool yield, beef output, and lamb production per hectare.
Lockerbie embodies our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth across diverse farming systems.
